I Love America Day

I Love America Day is a celebration of LOVE for the United States of America. Flags Across The Nation established the first I Love America Day on March 19, 2006.

For March 19,2007, murals were painted,letters written and photos taken for our I Love America Photo Contest. View the winning photos from our first annual, I Love America Day Photo Contest.

Blankets for Recovery Blankets for Recovery

Create blankets for our wounded warriors. Quilt, crochet, or knit blankets for our wounded troops. People all over the nation are creating Blankets for Recovery. Lets bring the warmth of the blankets and the hearts of the gift givers into the hearts of our wounded warriors.

SUGGESTIONS for sizes, types of materials and style of blankets

KNIT OR CROCHET – 3’x4’ Choose a washable yarn
QUILT– 3’x4 or 4’x5’ cotton fabric
SEW – 3’x4’ or 4’x4’ polyester fabric or fleece-type material
BUY – ask us for locations to purchase blankets in bulk
COLORS: Any colors, however our preference is red, white or blue

Mailing Instructions: Multiple Blankets -Contact us for a mailing address before you mail. If you wish, please include your name with a letter and an address that can accompany the blankets. One or two blankets mail to FLAGS in North Carolina, no need to call.

Letters to the Troops, A Freedom Art Project for the Kids

PARENTS, TEACHERS, CHILDREN and PATRIOTS OF ALL AGES…write letters and we will send the letters to the troops.
1. For children,download the flag template
2. Color the American Flag
3. Write a letter of appreciation and warmth to the TROOPS
4. Put your name and age on the back
5. Get friends to write letters
6. Mail the letter to Flags Across The Nation, North Carolina
We send 1,000's of letters to our wounded warriors and deployed troops.
